What is BlackRock doing at the WEF summit? We tried to find out.

...

The hedge fund s CEO, Larry Fink, sits on the World Economic Forum s Board of Trustees. That s why we wanted to know what BlackRock is doing at this year s summit in Davos.

We are here in Davos, Switzerland, where the whole city has been transformed into a kind of Disneyland for billionaires and oligarchs. Pop-up stores or pavilions have been set up everywhere in the resort.

Behind me in today s report is BlackRock s. Normally, BlackRock doesn t have this building here in Davos, it s just a temporary construction for the giant hedge fund that manages over $10 trillion worth of assets.

They are a huge company and have both sides covered. They are involved in the war, with investments in Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics. They are committed to peace by investing in the reconstruction of devastated countries.

BlackRock s CEO, Larry Fink, sits on the World Economic Forum s Board of Trustees. So you can bet that the policies announced by the mysterious conclave here in Davos are best for BlackRock s shareholders.

Larry Fink is a little ideologue himself. You d think that a billionaire like him would be a turbo-capitalist, but BlackRock is actually a big proponent of cultural Marxism. Although, as I have already mentioned, they themselves are heavily invested in military enterprises, it promotes cultural Marxism and environmental extremism. Worse, it arms the investments it oversees.

It s amazing to me to see them at the World Economic Forum, which claims to do good for the world.

We walked into BlackRock s pavilion, past the fleet of blackened Mercedes-Benz SUVs parked outside the entrance, to see if they could answer questions about what the company is doing in Davos. Although the door was open and people came and went, we were told it was a closed venue and sent us out.

Although we asked some friendly questions, we didn t get any answers. BlackRock is ready to give a prepared presentation for you, but they don t answer questions. Questions such as why billionaires and oligarchs should develop politics – foreign, domestic, environmental and social policy – in secret club meetings in Switzerland in a ski resort?

Who gave them a seat at this table? And when they talk about cosmopolitanism, who died and made Larry Fink king? He s just a money manager, since when did we elect him to make a policy that we all have to live with?

Our rebel team has just arrived here in Davos. We ll be here all week talking to the oligarchs if we can – I don t think we re going to spend much time with them, we re going to be caught off guard. But if we have the chance to talk to important people, we will do our best.
